Sy Hakim
ARTIST STATEMENT
My art involves major fundamental considerations: the Technical and the Aesthetic; the emotional and the expressive; colorful and thoughtful; and humanistic expression, from realistic to grotesque. My recent work continues to attempt to illustrate the individual and the doing, the impermanence of time/life, and the flickering of emotional memory acting on that impermanence, the minute by minute glimpse of self.
