ARTIST STATEMENT
My art deals with life situations, sometimes personal; sometimes political; sometimes involving society…but always…there is a response based on reality. Some of my prints present emotional issues and suggest a threat of change hovering over the existing moment. To emphasize this intense priority, I often accent my completed water-based monotypes with a rendering in paint or collage.
BIO
Carole Meyers is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). She studied abroad at the Santa Reparata Art Centre, Florence, Italy. Her work is included in corporate, personal, and international collections. These include Arco Chemical Company, Freeholders Association of Burlington County NJ, and Asian Art Exhibition, Seoul, Korea. Carole has won awards from many galleries in the tri-state area. These include Woodmere Art Museum, the Plastic Club, Sketch Club, Abington Art Center, Cheltenham Center for the Arts, Main Line Chamber of Commerce, and American Color Print Society. Currently, Carole is president of American Color Print Society.
