Tony Rosati

ARTIST STATEMENT

I love to make prints for the thrill of taking calculated risks, the anticipation of the printed image, the process determined delay of gratification, the uncertainty of the outcome, the multiple possible outcomes, and the pure moments of personal satisfaction.

BIO

Tony Rosati is a long-standing professor at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts where he served as the printmaking department chairperson for many years. He teaches an array of courses in printmaking, professionalism seminars, watercolor painting, and is a critic. He is an adjunct professor of printmaking and printmaking history with The University of the Arts. Tony’s early career experience includes nine years as a Curatorial Assistant with the Lessing J. Rosenwald Collection of rare books, prints, and drawings.

Rosati’s work is represented in many private and public collections to include the DeCordova Museum, Lincoln, MA; the James A.
